Peresys’ hedge fund administration system was originally developed for the specific needs of leading South African hedge fund, Peregrine Capital. It can however be adapted to fit requirements of similar hedge fund operations.

Since it was implemented, the solution has enabled Peregrine Capital to eliminate double capture, reduce manual processes, and allow for the administration of multiple funds with a small back-office team. In addition, the company has been able to demonstrate to current and prospective investors that its processes are up to the standards required.

The system effectively allows traders to continue using what they are used to, eg Excel or third party systems, by automating the work flow process from the moment trades are completed, through to settlement, general ledger posting and reconciliation next day and at month end.
